I can feel myself searching For some sort of misplaced hope I can feel myself gasping For air before I choke I can feel myself breathing In the swirling smoke. I recently saw a pic on a site dedicated to Internet humor (MemeCenter) in which some people were shown a painting and asked what meaning they saw in it. However one of them recognized it as a stock painting sold at IKEA. The joke was that she made all the other people look stupid. That stayed in the back of my mind and it got me thinking. Just because it's a stock mass produced painting sold at IKEA, does it mean it's empty and meaningless? That it has no artistic value? Someone had to create the original, right? As some of you may know today is the anniversary of Monty Oum's death. Monty Oum was the creator of RWBY one of my favorite shows but he was more than that to me, he was an inspiration. He really showed me what I wanted to do in my life through his work and he helped me realize who and what I wanted to be. He helped me figure out that I wanted to be a storyteller. He was incredibly motivated with an insane work drive and he continues to inspire me with what he made and did. As some of you may know there has been an attack against the French capital. An ugly scar has been drawn across a truly beautiful city. I hope you'll join me in keeping Paris and the French people in our thoughts and prayers. This is a time of fear, anger, and sadness but one thing I would urge everyone to do is to remain calm and collected. Mourn yes, reach out to others yes, but please do not give into the fear that is spreading because of this attack. here's some context as to what I'm about to say. This is NOT ok. This fills me with a lot of emotions ranging from outrage to surprise to anger and even fear and I hope at least some of you feel the same. What these people have done is utterly despicable. This among other things has made me realize what an incredibly toxic place Tumblr has become. They've developed some seriously fucked up morals and an even more fucked up system of ensuring that everyone else follows those morals to the letter. Plane Flights

The beginning of a plane flight is always kind of exhilarating- the plane rolls forward, really fast, so fast that you can't really tell if you're on the ground or in the air yet. But once you're flying- you know that you're flying. The ground falls away and, strangely, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted. You are flying.
